Tierra de Esperanza is a joint project to develop a community site of 23 brand new homes for Hurricane Harvey survivors in Woodsboro, Texas. Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi Inc., CBDRG, Disaster Aid of Ohio, Mennonite Disaster Service, Rebuild Texas, Refugio County Community Development Foundation, the Town of Woodsboro, and many others committed a combined $2.3 million to the project. The homes are being built by volunteers from Disaster Aid Ohio and will provide relief to the families who are still in recovery after the storm and bring improvements to the community.
At the beginning of November, a the first group of volunteers arrived to start work on the project. They already have seven homes under various stages of construction. Check back for more updates!
