An elderly couple in Gregory received the keys to a brand new home. Their trailer home sustained severe wind damages during hurricane Harvey, regardless, Mr. and Mrs. Flores continued living there for months.

Alfredo Flores says he patched up what he could, but due to a fixed income, he feared his home would never be replaced.

The couple contacted various organizations, finally hearing back from the Coastal Bend Disaster Recovery Group.

Their case worker Rochelle Jones helped the Flores’ and four other Gregory families to get brand new manufactured homes.

An effort by the CBDRG and their private donors.

The homes are HUD and windstorm approved. An organization also built them a ramp.
